The Legacy of Jim Long, Jr. ( Late )

Jim Long, Jr. was born on May 14, 1957, in Bennettsville, SC, and grew up working with Jimmy Long Oil Company. After a diving accident in 1986 left him as a quadriplegic, Jim defied the odds through resilience, faith, and the support of family and friends.

With a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Carolina, Jim became an advocate for individuals with disabilities. In 2002, he co-founded Priority One Home Healthcare to ensure that “Your needs come first,” creating a voice for those like him.

Jim’s dedication extended beyond Priority One. He served on the South Carolina Spinal Cord Association Board and other community initiatives, leaving a legacy of compassion and determination.
